High Fives All Around

The Buffalo News recently featured our program graduates!

Photos, from left:

  1. Jayvonne Covington grins as Jamie Ryder, Director of Operations at the Seneca Street CDC, paints his palm in his school colors so he can add his handprint to the wall at the CDC. The handprint ceremony honors graduates who have gone through programming at the CDC. Jayvonne is a graduate of Bennett High School and will attend Daemen College in the fall.

  2. Shelby Salamone has her hand painted in the colors of Letchworth High School. Shelby places her hand on the wall, guided by Ryder. Shelby, who attended the CDC’s After-School Program between the ages of 6 and 11, will attend Finger Lakes Community College in the fall.

  3. Julia Rosado reaches for a high five after adding her handprint to the wall. Julia, a graduate of Mount Mercy Academy, will attend D’Youville University in the fall.
