Once the school year ends, a fun and educational summer begins

During July and August, when school is out, we offer six weeks of programming. Four of those six weeks typically consist of enriching activities that might include crafts, special performances, cooking, water games, and fieldtrips, all revolving around staying cool and active!

Summer @ Seneca Reading Camp

Two weeks during our Summer @ Seneca Street program is dedicated to our free, annual Reading Camp. During the Reading Camp, students rotate through various academic stations including reading and writing stations, taught by longtime dedicated volunteers and mentors. Students also do other activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, science, etc. After completing the two week long Reading Camp, the students participate in a graduation ceremony and earn a backpack filled with the following year’s school supplies.
